Pelican Bay

Edmond has a really great water park that we have visited a few times - it has a large swimming area, lazy river, little kids slides, big kids tube slides, rock climbing wall, and a floating dragon the little kids can climb on. Aubry and I went this past weekend to cool off in this 100+ degree heat we've had for forever now. Aubry has a blast every time we go!

1 Year Older!!!

This past weekend was crazy busy! We came down to Houston to pack up and move out of our house Wednesday thru Friday, Friday night Derek and I went to my 10-year HS reunion, and Saturday Aubry turned 2! It was great to be back down in Houston to celebrate - we all miss our families so much!

For Aubry's Birthday.......


We took Aubry to breakfast at IHOP Saturday morning where she got a puppy and a turtle balloon animal.

Saturday night we had dinner at Ichibon Hibachi Grill in Kemah  - love that restaurant - and it keeps Aubry entertained which is a definite plus!

After dinner we walked around the Kemah boardwalk, played in the water fountains, rode the train and the carousel and had Aubry's caricature made. We had a blast!

Early Birthday & Lake Fun

Since we'll be back in Houston next weekend for Aubry's 2nd birthday (and my 10-year high school reunion, and to pack up and move out of our Houston house....) we decided to give Aubry her present from us early. She loves it! Been playing with it all weekend. And you know all presents like this are like 2-in-1 cause the box always seems as fun as the gift!

We also took the jet skis out to the lake again this weekend - love having somewhere to go that's less than 10 mins from the house

no lie - she passed out while her and I were riding the jet ski :)

School Days

Aubry is now in preschool at The Goddard School, a early childhood development center for kids 6 months old thru Kindergarten here in Edmond, which she is loving so far! For the summer they have sno-cones on Monday, splash day on Tuesdays where they get to wear their bathing suits to school and play in the water, Wednesdays they bring in guests from around the area, and every other Friday Gymboree comes and they have a gymnastics day. Each week is a different theme so they get to learn about different time periods.

The first week was 50s-70s so she wore a poodle skirt for guest day on Wednesday.

They also had a dance party after school one day ~
